County Line Construction Means Earlier Bus Times for Some ABS Students

A construction project on County Line Road over Crapaud Creek will mean earlier bus pickup times for some Anchor Bay Schools students, according to the district.

The county road work is expected to begin Oct. 6, leading bus drivers to arrive at stops in select neighborhoods 10 minutes earlier to allow time for a detour. The project, due to a culvert replacement, is expected to take five weeks. All of buses will begin their morning runs about 10 minutes earlier. The construction will also affect some students at , , and in various ways, the district announced.

"Although we are doing everything possible to make changes that will limit disruptions to our bus schedules, we do realize there may be some buses that may be late arriving to the middle schools and elementary buildings in the afternoon at dismissal," Transportation Director Mary Delor stated in a district letter.

"This may result in a slight delay in your child’s drop off at home. As always, the safe transport of our children is our number one priority," Delor said.
