Fundraiser Planned for Patrick Wisniewski's Family

A fundraiser for the family of a late New Baltimore police reserve officer and Selfridge airman is scheduled for July in Chesterfield Township.

The event, in honor of Patrick Wisniewski, is from 4-8 p.m. July 25 at the Macomb County FOP Lodge 112, 33845 24 Mile. A donation admission includes a spaghetti dinner, salad, soft drinks and 50/50 raffle.

All of the proceeds are to benefit Wisniewski's wife Jennifer and their five children. He was killed the evening of June 2 while driving his motorcycle from his regular shift at Selfridge Air National Guard Base. An alleged drunken driver on a suspended license crashed into him at the Jefferson and 21 Mile intersection in Chesterfield Township.

Wisniewski, 33 of New Baltimore, was a New Baltimore police reserve officer of two years and United States Air Force Active Guard Reserve 127th Security Forces Squadron veteran at the Selfridge ANG Base. He served deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Donations may be also made to Michigan's Thin Blue Line at any PNC Bank branch or at the New Baltimore Police Department or sent to Thin Blue Line at P.O. Box 415, Howell, MI 48844. They should be marked; ATTN: TBL/FBO Wisniewski Family.
